Neoprenes / EPDM / Nitrile Vinyl

These products come in a variety of densities and compounds. Neoprene is a closed cell sponge used for oil-resistant applications. EDPM (Ethylene Proylene Diene) is a closed cell sponge that resists ozone. ECH (Epichlorohydrin) resists ozone at temperatures up to 325o F. When neoprene and EPDM are blended, the result resists oil and ozone with medium swelling. Nitrile rubber with polyvinyl chloride has high ozone resistance and excellent oil resistance. Many of these products can be made to meet the UL94HFI fire retardant test procedure.
